Selling a Non-Runner Truck

What operators should know before letting go.

A non-runner still has value

Plenty of operators assume a truck that won't start is only worth weight. That's rarely true. Engines, gearboxes, axles, cabs, bodies — most of it still has a market. We see non-runners go for proper money every week.

What actually affects the price

Make and model first. A Volvo FH or Scania R-series non-runner pulls more than a less common unit. Then spec — Euro standard, gearbox, rear axle ratio. Then the reason it's off the road. A blown turbo is a very different job to a cracked block. Honest information gets you an honest number.

Where non-runners go

Some get repaired and sold on. Some are broken for parts into a healthy used parts market. Some go to export where labour is cheaper and repair makes sense. Each route values the truck differently — that's why pricing varies between buyers.

What to send us

Photos of the cab, chassis, engine bay. A short note on what's wrong. Mileage and service history if you have it. That's enough to come back with a number the same day.
